Bandina Christian Youth Camp, also known as "Camp Bandina," is operated by a board of directors who are
dedicated members of the Church of Christ who volunteer their time and live throughout Texas. Youth camp
sessions are one week long, beginning on Sunday afternoons and closing the following on Saturdays at noon.
Preachers, elders, deacons, Bible teachers, and other proven Christian men and women make up the staff of
every session. The staff is multiracial and multiethnic. The campers always reflect a wide background that well
reflects the state of Texas.Other congregations attend along with Kings Crossing Church of Christ. These
Churches bring a delightful blend of people that share the love of Jesus.
Each year the organizing committee made up of representatives from different involved Churches attending the session select a “theme.” Camping activities and Bible classes are developed around that theme. Each day campers will participate in two Bible classes and two periods of worship and praise. There are also many other opportunities for devotion, singing and prayer.
Each day there are organized sports, boys and girls participating in gender-based sessions as
well as mixed-gender sessions. Everyone gets a chance to play. Camp Bandina has softball fields, basketball
courts, and three volleyball courts. The campers also have the option to spend time in arts and crafts with fun activities in the Arts and Crafts Pavillion. Swimming and canoeing is in the beautiful Medina river with certified lifeguards.
The session for Kings Crossing Church of Christ is always the last weekend in June. For 2011, our session is June 19th through June 25th. Each session costs $175.00 per camper. Campers need to be dropped off at Camp Bandina on Sunday, June 19th, after 1:00pm and picked up before 9:00am in the morning on the following Saturday, June 25th, 2011.
